Joy spent over a decade at InvenTrust Properties as a Senior Property Accountant and CAM Recovery Supervisor, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and reconciliations for diverse property portfolios. She has extensive experience in lease interpretation, CAM recovery, tenant accounting, and team leadership, having trained both U.S. and international accounting teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Earlier in her career, Joy held key accounting roles at The Inland Real Estate Group of Companies, specializing in CAM, tax compliance, and tenant recoveries across hundreds of properties nationwide.
Her career highlights include executing financial settlements for a major joint venture close-out, leading international training for 30 team members in India, and playing a critical role in developing and implementing a CAM Accrual Report that improved year-end efficiency.
Education
Joy earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DeVry University, graduating with honors.
After spending over 30 years in Illinois, Joy relocated to Tennessee seeking a quieter life. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors
