Katrin has been part of NetCo Investments for over two decades, as an investor, board director and partner. Over the past few years, she has taken on a growing role and currently leads the company’s special projects and AI strategy, focused on bringing efficiency to the team’s workflow through practical AI tools and automation. She brings over a decade of corporate experience in software engineering, business intelligence, data analysis, leadership and management.
Experience
Mrs. Bayat’s career started as a software engineer at BAE Systems. She then joined Answer Financial Inc., a nationwide insurance agency providing auto and home insurance through its website and call centers, where she spent several years growing from senior software engineer to directing the business intelligence department, leading teams of data analysts, database programmers and reporting specialists. She later stepped away from corporate work to focus on her family while remaining involved with NetCo Investments. Today she is part of the leadership team and takes an active role as a key decision maker across the company.
Education and Organizations
Katrin holds an MS in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business.
She is the creator and curator of Be Inspired, a speaker series that started as informal gatherings for meaningful conversation and connection. It has grown into a private event held each spring and fall, which she designs and hosts, with the goal of bringing genuine value to her community.
Outside of work, Katrin’s focus is her family. She has a passion for travel, exploring new countries and cultures.
